The UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing has just concluded another mission. This time, Raquel Rolnik was in Algeria, where she met with national government representatives, local authorities, civil society organizations and ordinary citizens in field visits in several cities. Her next mission will be in Israel and OPT. Meanwhile, the project “Women and Housing Rights” is being developed through the virtual platform launched last month by the Rapporteur. More than a hundred people worldwide have already registered to participate in discussions. You can contribute too!
* Mission to Algeria
The Special Rapporteur Raquel Rolnik visited Algeria between 9th and 19th July. The full report on her mission will be presented in March 2012 to the UN Human Rights Council. In the last day of the visit, the Rapporteur presented her preliminary findings to the government and issued a press release. Read more.

Between January 29th and February 12th 2012, the Special Rapporteur Raquel Rolnik will conduct a mission to Israel and OPT. More information on our website soon.
* Right to Housing Debates
Over a hundred people worldwide have already registered to the virtual platform to contribute to the debate on “Women and Housing Rights”. The discussions will provide inputs to the next Rapporteur’s thematic report.
